Sachtleben Pigments Oy ordered Wedge

Sachtleben Pigments Oy, located in Pori, Finland, has purchased a Wedge system. Sachtleben Pigments Oy produces titanium dioxide used e.g. in cosmetics, paints, lacquers and printing inks for packages.

With Wedge Sachtleben Pigments Oy will be able to review and analyze production data collected from a long period of time. The data obtained with Wedge will give the customer wide range of information based on which the customer is able to further develop and optimize its processes for improved productivity and profitability.

Rehabilitation of Ruseløkkveien Parking House in Oslo, Norway

Storebrand Eiendom and municipality of Oslo decided to invest ~320 million Norwegian crones to renovate and modernize Vika Terassen shopping area in the heart of Oslo, Norway. The main contractor of the whole project is Skanska Norge and Savcor will be responsible for concrete rehabilitation works with Entreprenørservice AS.

Savcor’s main responsibility is to design and deliver cathodic protection system to the parking house located at Ruseløkkveien. The main goal is to strengthen the structure and extend the lifetime of the building. The project has already been started and it is expected to be ready in summer 2016.

Spanish Cardboard Mill purchases Sonica

Spanish cardboard mill Union Industrial Pappelera S.A. has acquired on-line air content analyser Sonica from Savcor. The system will be installed and running in early of August.

UIPSA (Unión Industrial Papelera S.A) is a paper mill which produces packaging paper from recycled paper. The annual production is around 200.000 Tm of packaging papers (Fluting , Kraft and Test liner of  grades from 105 to 200 g/m2). To use recycled paper as raw material involves that, there is an amount of reject, containing a lot of plastics and others impurities.

Savcors Sonica uses ultrasound scattering to identify the quantity and quality of entrained air in the stock and transmits the collected data to the process control units for further actions. The system increases accuracy of collected data, gives higher profile control and decreases overall consumption of defoamer chemicals.

Paroc acquired Wedge to Poland

Paroc’s Technical Insulates plant in Trzemeszno, Poland, has acquired a Wedge process diagnostic system. The system will be delivered at the end of May. The customer has also made maintenance agreement with Savcor.

Paroc Group and Savcor has made collaboration before in other Paroc’s plants.

Wedge order to Boliden Kokkola

Boliden Kokkola Zinc smelter places an order for Wedge Process diagnostic System, Wedge Process Database and for the first year maintenance.

Boliden Kokkola is the second largest zinc plant in Europe. Its annual production capacity is 315,000 tonnes. Main products are pure zinc and zinc alloys. Since 2010 the smelter has also produced sulphuric acid.

Boliden Kokkola is committed to continuously improving its operations. As a result, the company is today one of the most modern zinc smelters in the world.
